Hi, I'm Molly. I'm an avid traveler and student of cultures, curious about why we create, how we connect, and where we tell stories. My recent work has been published in Arcade.
Musically I'm known for soulful vocals, for going big and going deep, and for helping people connect to something greater than themselves. I am first and foremost a worshipper, and have performed for a decade with a variety of artists and faith communities. In 2008, a passion for the arts inspired my friends and me to found a nonprofit that designed new ways for artists and churches to create together. We called it ByFor. In 2015, Fuller Seminary Northwest acquired ByFor to form a broader program called The Cascadia Residency. I'm currently working with The Cascadia Residency for its pilot year and am also thrilled to join the staff at Bellevue Presbyterian Church as an Artist in Residence. I've accepted a fellowship at Princeton for the fall of 2017.
My other passions include life-long advocacy for disadvantaged children and youth. I grew up working closely with the medical organization Healing the Children, helped run a preschool for orphans in China with the Philip Hayden Foundation, and served for many years on the board of Seattle Street Youth Ministries.
In my spare time, I work a rotating roster of startups and Fortune 500 companies, bringing form to ideas where tech and design meet.
